SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW

You are not in Kansas anymore, darling! And who the fuck wants to be? In 1969 we buried one our time’s biggest icons: Judy Garland. The same day that one of the most significant battles of LGBTQ history took place. Coincidence? Who knows?

Whether or not there is any truth to the myth that Judy Garland’s death was the flame that ignited the Stonewall riots we have decided to honor everyone’s favourite Judy and all of the activists from the legendary summer in 1969 that changed everything. This year’s festival opens with the short film Stonewall Forever and the classic Wizard of Oz (p. 44). Your host for the evening is the one and only Carnita Molida, known for this evening as Dolores.

We almost forgot…obviously it’s a sing-a-long!

The location for Opening Night will be kept secret, but busses will take you both there and back. The busses leave from Odenplan and the party starts as soon as you board!
