The Wizard of Oz

“We´re off to se the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz!”
When a tornado rips through Kansas, young Dorothy and her dog Toto finds herself in a magical world of Oz. To find her way back to Kansas she makes friends with a lion (Lahr), a scarecrow (Bolger) and a tin man (Haley) as they make their way along the yellow brick road to talk with the Wizard and ask for the things they miss most in their lives. The Wicked Witch of the West is the only thing that could stop them. Cinema Queer brings this classical musical back to life and salute the gay-icon and protagonist Judy Garland who passed away 50 years ago and, as the story goes, put fire to the Stonewall-riot. The film is shown as a sing-a-long!

Screening: 19:00, 24 september.
