Hans kropp sviker honom, \u00f6verger honom. Sjukdomen pl\u00e5gar honom. D\u00e5 ensam, inf\u00f6r kameran, dansar Herv\u00e9 Guibert p\u00e5 samma s\u00e4tt som han filmar \u2013 berusande, f\u00f6rtvivlat, \u00f6mt och grymt.\u00a0 Han dr\u00f6mde om att g\u00f6ra dramer med Isabelle Adjani. Men i slut\u00e4ndan var han den enda sk\u00e5despelaren i sin enda film, inspelad en liten portabel kamera under sitt sista \u00e5r i livet. 30 \u00e5r senare visar vi Modesty and Shame som en hyllning till en av Frankrikes mest kontroversiella f\u00f6rfattare som genom sin rasande litteratur chockade det franska samh\u00e4llet med sina frispr\u00e5kiga texter.\u00a0 Modesty and Shame \u00e4r en brutal uppg\u00f6relse med livet och konsten \u2013 ett brandtal f\u00f6r d\u00f6den.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Filmen f\u00f6ljs av ett samtal av f\u00f6rfattaren Eli Lev\u00e9n och \u00f6vers\u00e4ttaren och psykologen Mathias Westin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eli Lev\u00e9n debuterade med den kritikerhyllade Du \u00e4r r\u00f6tterna som sover vid mina f\u00f6tter och h\u00e5ller jorden p\u00e5 plats (2010), som \u00e4ven bel\u00f6nades med Katapultpriset f\u00f6r \u00e5rets b\u00e4sta debut med motiveringen ”en intensiv och laddad skildring av en ung m\u00e4nniskas s\u00f6kande efter identitet och tillh\u00f6righet”. Filmversionen N\u00e5nting m\u00e5ste g\u00e5 s\u00f6nder (2014) bel\u00f6nades med en Guldbagge. Hur jag skulle vilja f\u00f6rsvinna \u00e4r Lev\u00e9ns efterl\u00e4ngtade \u00e5terkomst till romanen.<\/p>\n

Om Mathias Westin,
\nMattias Westin \u00e4r \u00f6vers\u00e4ttare och psykolog, han har \u00a0\u00f6versatt tv\u00e5 pj\u00e4ser av den franske dramatikern Jean-Luc Lagarce till en volym som ges ut nu alldeles strax under h\u00f6sten av Faethon f\u00f6rlag. Lagarce var generationskamrat till Guibert och dog liksom denne i aids.<\/p>\n
