Talk: Opera as a Queer Expression

After the screening of ORFEAS2021 we will invite the writer and the one of the creators, Foivos Dousos and the producer Alex Dimitriou for a talk together with Isabella Lindström about opera as a queer expression. The talk’s moderator is Tove Dahlberg.

Foivos Dousos is one of the half in the conceptual audiotextual performance and curation duo FYTA (meaning plants) from Athens.

Alex Dimitriou is a curator, producer and performer who operates between Berlin and Athens.

Isabella Lindström has studied at the Chamber Music Programme at Mälardalen University and at Stockholm Operastudio (previously Operastudio 67). As a singer, she focus on the scenical aspects and norm-breaking interpretation of musical drama. Subjects such as accessibility, intersectionality and educational and social justice are also of great importance in her work.

Tove Dahlberg is an opera singer and PhD in opera and made a PhD-project of gender, creature norms and artistic space in opera.
