Transfest in Talk About Trans Persons and History Writing

Tuesday 4 October, 20.00, Färjeterminalen, Stadshamnen 26 (following the screening of Framing Agnes)

After Framing Agnes we invite you to a talk between Sam Hultin and Trans Fest Stockholm. Trans people, as a group, are seldom depicted in history. How come? How can we reclaim our own stories? And what happens when we get the chance to do it?

Sam Hultin is an artist who focuses on queer history, identity and community and explores the connections between personal experiences and political and social structures. The last years they have worked on the project The monument of Eva-Lisa which elevates the trans pioneer and lesbian activist Eva-Lisa Bengtson (1932-2018). During the fall of 2022 Sam is curating and Samuel Girma is producing the series Radical love: care as resitance, which explores care in queer and BIPOC communities, at Iaspis in Stockholm.
