The purpose of sitting in the house is to serve a sentence, and there each one must discover their own means of filling time. This collection of reproductions of works, accompanied by corresponding letters, chronicles journeys into confinement. When words fall short, Ruz Lopez resourcefully employs available materials. Through an advanced visual narrative, he unveils a rarely depicted queer reality behind bars.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through these works, Ruz Lopez manifests a sense of emancipation, where the definition of \u201cfreedom\u201d hinges primarily on one’s mental disposition. With an invitation into his mental space, Ruz Lopez allows us to sense his longing for freedom, dysphoria, yearning, and anguish.
