In a film without spoken dialogue, director Veit Helmer takes us on a journey of love set in the beautiful mountains of Georgia, high in the sky. In an area where villages must be connected by cable cars, Iva takes a job as a cable car conductor. Every half an hour she travels over the vertigo-inducing valley and passes another conductor, Nina. Without speaking they develop a fondness for each other which develops into a friendship and even love. Gondola is a quirky and unique film that will leave you speechless.
