In the small town of Romblon, Philippines in 2001, 16-year old Andoy is trying to navigate life. Growing up in a hostile home environment, with a missing father, he seeks comfort in VHS-movies together with his best friend Pedo. Andoy suddenly meets two film-like characters: a gender-bending hairdresser and a mysterious sunbather, which is the start of a journey of self discovery and acceptance.
