Welcome to The Meatrack! Here, jeans are always tight, T-shirts always cropped, and cocaine always free. This year, we’ve dug deep into film history’s closet to present two 1970s classics so controversial that even the liberated gays of San Francisco couldn’t handle them. Can you?

After the screening we will have a talk with Jason Meredith. A pundit of horror and cult films, Jason is currently a PhD candidate in Cinema Studies at Stockholm University, where he is researching queer representation in 60s-70s exploitation film. Both as images of, but also made by queer people, to demonstrate the overlapping and ambivalent roles the exploitation films have within the development of queer representation in moving images.
