Performance lecture by AnnaLeena Prykäri
An auto-biographic storyline from behind closed doors and private rooms. It collects together short stories that meet in a grey zone. A collection of lived experiences and emotions placed in an archive. It reveals without exposing. It is human in its nature. History of the material where we step into.
I chose to watch, I chose to observe. I chose to act, I chose to reveal. I chose to respect. So I could keep asking, answering perhaps.
Performative act took place.
Questions of personal ethics became present.
Emotional and physical risks. Tentative state.
To rely on another person, on a level that you would give your mind, body and emotional existence to their hands is a remarkable thing.
You can see it as a promise from me to you and vice versa.
It cannot be found on pharmacy shelves, even if the act of it can.
Performance lecture is part of Prykäri`s long-term, on-going artistic research. Prykäri (b.1985 in Torne Valley, Finland) lives and works currently in Stockholm, Sweden.
