It started with a smell… Lucky, Apartment depicts conflicts between a lesbian couple to shine a light on the structures of Korea Society. Seon-woo and Hee-seo’s dream of safe and secure housing becomes a reality when they put everything they have into purchasing a small apartment. However, the reality catches up with them when Seon-woo loses her job and breaks her leg, leaving Hee-seo solely responsible for their income. Confined to their apartment, Seon-woo quickly becomes obsessed with a smell coming from downstairs, something which takes a toll on her relationship, not only with Hee-seo, but also with her neighbours.
