Truly deserving of its cult status, The Man Who Fell to Earth follows an alien who has come to Earth in search of water, hoping that this will save his home planet. The alien uses his knowledge of advanced technology to create profitable inventions, with the idea of using the money to build the space vehicle needed to ship the water back to his home planet. One day he meets Mary-Lou who introduces him to the many customs of Earth, such as going to church, drinking alcohol and having sex. The Man Who Fell to Earth is David Bowie’s first starring film role and one of his best!
