Regiss\u00f6ren Raed Rafei \u00e5terv\u00e4nder h\u00e4r till sin hemstad Tripoli, bev\u00e4pnad med en mikrofon f\u00f6r att tala med stadens inv\u00e5nare. Han pratar med dem om deras v\u00e4rlds\u00e5sk\u00e5dningar och deras villighet att ta till sig nya och moderna id\u00e9er i tider av djup ekonomisk kris, en haltande revolution och i v\u00e4ntan p\u00e5 ett fruktansv\u00e4rt krig. S\u00e5 sm\u00e5ningom f\u00e5r han kontakt med en grupp marginaliserade individer vars livsstil g\u00e5r tv\u00e4rt emot de normer som finns i den djupt religi\u00f6sa och konservativa staden.
