Madalena is 8-months pregnant and is desperately trying to resist smoking. She is also a film producer, trying to produce the B-sci-fi film her recently deceased father wrote. She is also dealing with the sudden disappearance of the baby’s father/director of the film. She is also trying to secure funding for the film, control the rather uncontrollable crew and finish the project before she gives birth. Death and Life Madalena is a quirky and uplifting love letter to b-films and community projects, while still forcing the audience to reflect on the most human of issues: life and death.
