CINEMA QUEER INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

CITY OF LOST SOULS ON THE M/S VICTORIA

Tonight your captain BLEACH will take you on a ride on Stockholm’s darkest waters. The bar is open and the film starts at 19:00. If the boat should collide with any icebergs, drag queens and queers will be saved first – everyone else risks being left below deck. There aren’t enough lifeboats for everybody!

At the helm you will find legendary director Rosa von Praunheim. Travel back in time and say hello to the icon Angie Stardust! She runs the Stardust motel and the burger joint Burger Queen, where she hosts a couple of Americans that have traveled to Berlin’s club scene looking for the freedom to live their eccentric lives as erotic trapeze artists. This German gem from 1983 is a satirical camp-trans-punk musical starring the drag artist Angie Stardust, trans-punk Jayne County, and transvestite Tara O’Hara. Read more on page 27.

? CINEMA QUEERS BIG CLOSING NIGHT PARTY ?

Darling it’s better, down where it’s wetter!

In the true spirit of Cinema Queer we welcome you to an extravagant closing night party to wrap up the festival. We will keep the evening’s maritime theme going and anchor at Klara Strand, in the middle of the city. We have invited two of Stockholm’s waterproof DJs, Iki and Vincent, who will navigate through stormy winds and hurricanes, hopefully bringing us to safe harbour when the night meets the dawns. Bottoms up!
