Hotel Cinema Queer is run by Cinema Queer, Sweden’s largest LGBTQ film festival which takes place at the beginning of autumn in Stockholm every year. Cinema Queer was founded in 2012 with the aim of diversify the heteronormative repertoire in Sweden and to offer the Stockholm audience a wide range of queer films.

But Cinema Queer is more than just a film festival. Cinema Queer highlights culture and creators who question, discuss and look beyond society’s prevailing norms and illuminate stories that are otherwise not noticed. The goal is to create an platform for queer film and culture in Sweden and a meeting place for LGBTQ + people. Cinema Queer also offers children and young people groundbreaking school cinema as well as children’s movies for the rainbow family.
