THE FANTASY FOREST
Antiffa Vänsterfitta, together with the underground queer avant-garde of Gothenburg, opens up their wild and verdant commons, brimming with Politics, Erotics and Death. Callings from a polyphonic collective rise from the depths of the forest, enchanting stories of the pleasurable submission of the individual and the collapse of identity. The repressive method of placing the present in the future, calling it utopian, has long since been seen through. Straight society has been overthrown and the inner man is dead. From his compost, in the decay and humus of his body, unspeakable perversions and problematic desires take root and blossom. The moon sails over the treetops and songs of free public transport, unbound hormones and a ban on guitar men echo across the night sky.
The political turns delightfully private! Behold an utterly feminine female tacky artistry, intrusive, intimate and boundless. Based on The Own Experience, and constantly reflecting in, of and on others until all borders are erased. The emotional spectrum is gigantic and in constant rebellion against itself and its surroundings. Unfiltered grief, joy, wrath and lust are without inhibitions projected on all surfaces.
Together with the underground queer avant-garde of Gothenburg, Antiffa Vänsterfitta exhibits their multimedia fantasy forest for public viewing. Documentations of joy-full direct actions are mixed with porn and consciousness raising terrorist musicals. The video work spas over a decade and portray a queer community, comrades, friends and lovers, slowly growing older through the productions.
